New Orleans, LA.- Announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), Montclair State University men's indoor track & field freshman triple jumper HIVEN BIFFOT was named the Metro Region Field Athlete of the Year.
 
Biffot, had a tremendous inaugural season for the Red Hawks, earning First-Team All-American with a third-place finish at the NCAA Division III Championships with a mark of 15.10 (49' 6.40"). He also won the triple jump at the AARTFC Championships a week prior and earned Second-Team All-NJAC with a second-place finish at the NJAC Championships.
 
This is the second year in a row the Red Hawks have seen an All-American in the triple jump with JABEZ THOMAS earning it in 2023.
 
Montclair will open up its outdoor season within the next few weeks.
