Montclair, NJ- The Montclair State University men's swimming and diving team saw three of its student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team as announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
Representing the Red Hawks are

RYAN KAPPES, and
LUCAS MIGLIN.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's Swimming & Diving Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
To qualify for the CSC Academic All-District Team, a student-athlete must maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher and have competed in at least five meets or placed in the top eight at a conference championship event.
Salvatori earned this recognition in his first season at Montclair, competing in all 11 meets while maintaining an impressive 3.92 GPA as a film and television major. He was a standout performer for the men's swimming and diving team, setting five school records. His top performance came at the NJAC Championships, where he placed fourth in the 400 IM (3:58.57), achieving an NCAA "B" cut and setting a new school record. Salvatori led Montclair in four individual events and contributed to a leading relay team.
Kappes received this honor for the second consecutive year. He competed in all 11 meets this season while maintaining a 3.51 GPA. In his final season as a Red Hawk, Kappes was part of a school-record performance in the 800 freestyle relay at the NJAC Championship. A former 400 IM record holder, he is also a two-time All-NJAC Honorable Mention selection for his contributions to the 400 and 800 freestyle relays.
Miglin also earned Academic All-District honors for the second straight season. He competed in all 11 meets while maintaining a 3.70 GPA. His best performance of the season came in a home meet against Saint Peter's, where he placed third in both the 500 freestyle (5:06.46) and 1000 freestyle (10:38.33).
Montclair concluded the 2024-25 season with a 7-2 meet record, finishing seventh at the NJAC Championships with 592 points.
