HIVEN BIFFOT will represent the Red Hawks this Saturday at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships.
The championship meet will take place at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio, with the event set for an 11:00 a.m. start. Live coverage of the championship can be found at montclairathletics.com
Thomas earned his qualifying mark early in the outdoor season at the Danny Curran Invite (Hosted by Widener University) on March 28, where he jumped a 14.98m (49' 1.75"). Thomas was also this year's NJAC Champion with a jump of 14.73m (48' 4). His jump of 14.98m sits as the seventh-best mark in the nation.
Biffot notched his qualifying mark just recently at the Widener Final Qualifier on May 12. He jumped a whopping 15.34m (50' 4"), which was a school record and is ranked as the second-best jump in the nation. Biffot was also the runner-up to Thomas at the NJAC Championships with a second-place mark of 14.68m (48' 2"). Hiven will be entering his second national championship meet this year after competing in the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships back in March, where he placed third and earned first team All-American with a jump of 15.10m (49' 6.5")
