Pitman, NJ- Announced on Monday afternoon by the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) office, the Montclair State University field hockey team is predicted to replicate its standing from last season with a third-place finish, according to the 2025 NJAC Coaches Preseason Poll.

The team to beat continues to be Rowan, who will be in search of its fifth-straight NJAC title.

Montclair finished its 2024 season with its best overall record since 2018, posting a 13-6 record. They placed third in the conference with a 4-2 NJAC record, which qualified them for the NJAC Tournament, but suffered a heartbreaking 2-1 overtime defeat at TCNJ in the semifinals.
