LAST TIME OUT
Head coach Patrick Naughter earned his 200^th win as a coach in Montclair's 4-0 win on Wednesday at Moravian. Montclair went on the attack right away and put a lot of pressure on the Moravian goalkeeper. The Red Hawks registered two shots on goal in the first minute and a half of the game and six in the first 12 minutes. The pressure kept up, and at the 34:50 mark in the first half, SAMIRA LUKOVIC capitalized on a set piece for the game's first goal. The Red Hawks took the 1-0 lead into the intermission. After an early attack from the Greyhounds, the Red Hawks went back to having control of the match. In the 55th minute, Montclair was awarded a corner where CARLY GUZZARDO connected with Lukovic for her second goal of the game to take a 2-0 lead. The Red Hawks took a commanding 3-0 lead in the 75th minute when KAYDEN ARAVENA put a shot into the back of the net, and the game was capped off in the 83rd minute with a goal by MIKAYLA HENDERSON. Montclair came away with an emphatic 4-0 victory.

SCOUTING NEW JERSEY CITY  
The Gothic Knights enter the conference opener with a 6-2-0 overall record and are on a three-match win streak after defeating Centenary (NJ), 5-0 on Tuesday. In 2024, NJCU compiled a 7-6-8 overall record with a 2-4-3 NJAC record that qualified them for the conference tournament. They made it past the quarterfinals after a 0-0 tie and an advance on penalty kicks against Stockton (4-2), but fell in the semifinals to the eventual conference champions TCNJ, 2-0. The Gothic Knights qualified and competed in the ECAC Tournament as well, winning against Juniata, 2-1, but falling to the eventual champion Hartford, 5-0. According to the 2025 NJAC Preseason poll, Jersey City is slated to finish seventh this season.

The series between the Red Hawks and the Gothic Knights enters match 32 on Saturday. Montclair has dominated this series historically with a 28-2-1 overall record against NJCU.
