Staten Island, NY – Led by JAHMIR BEAL in the 60m, the Montclair State University men's track & field team competed at the NYC Gotham Cup on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Beal clocked in with a time of 6.90 in the 60m to set a new school record while also notching a new personal record in the event to lead the Red Hawks at the meet. CHRIS SCOTT clocked in at 7.27 in the event to place fifth all-time among freshmen. 
• SHELDON AGYEMANG recorded a regional qualifying mark of 6.81m in the long jump, ranking eighth in program history while setting a new career-best.
• In the 3,000m, GAVIN CASELLA finished with a time of 9:49.41 to sit sixth all-time in the program's top ten. JESSE BAIDOO rounded out the group of program marks with a time of 51.75 in the 400m, ranking sixth among freshmen all-time.

INSIDE THE RESULTS

• NEO BERNABE (11.58m) and BENJAMIN SIESEL (10.25m) each recorded career-bests in the weight throw, while DANIEL MCCARTHY set a personal best in the 200m with a time of 23.69.
