Philadelphia, PA – The Montclair State University men's track and field team concluded its two-day competition at the Schuylkill Showcase on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Red Hawks saw a fourth place finish in the triple jump by HIVEN BIFFOT, notching a mark of 14.40m.
• Remaining in the field events, JALEN BALBUENA tallied a mark of 6.81m in the long jump to finish sixth, with ELIAS HANLEY right behind in seventh at 6.80m. Hanley's performance placed him ninth in program history in the event and currently ranks 76th in the nation.
• JAHMIR BEAL clocked in at 6.99 seconds in the 60m to place sixth in the event, headlining the group on the track.

INSIDE THE RESULTS

• GAVIN CASELLA recorded a career-best time of 4:44.85 in the mile, ranking eighth in program history.
• AOSUUTA WYNN notched a season-best time of 23.22 seconds in the 200m, with JAYSON ELLIS tallying a personal-best in the 60m at 7.06 seconds, a time that puts him sixth in program history.

The Red Hawks will compete in the Friday Night River Hawk Showdown, hosted by Susquehanna University, on Friday, February 6. The meet in Selinsgrove, PA is scheduled to start at 5:00 PM.
