PREVIEW | Men’s Indoor Track & Field @ NJAC Championships (Day Two)

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State University Men's Indoor Track & Field team looks to finish strong as they compete on the second and final day of the NJAC Championships on Friday.

 

MEET INFO

The meet will be held at the University of Pennsylvania's Ott Center, with events set to begin at 3:30 p.m. Live coverage of the event can be found at montclairathletics.com

 

LAST TIME OUT

In the 60m prelims, JAHMIR BEAL clocked in with a school record time of 6.88 seconds, sitting fourth among the field, with JAYSON ELLIS right behind at 6.92 seconds. Both have advanced to the finals of the event, which will take place on the next date of the competition. In the long jump, JALEN BALBUENA recorded a fourth-place finish with a mark of 7.16m, with ELIAS HANLEY right behind in fifth at 7.04m. SHELDON AGYEMANG rounded out the group in sixth at 6.93m. Remaining in the field events, BRYAN ALVAREZ notched a mark of 13.74m in the shot put to place seventh. JABRI JOSEPH tallied a career-best mark of 13.10m and a top ten placement, ranking ninth. The 4x200m relay team of Beal, Hanley, JESSE BAIDOO, and Ellis finished fourth with a season-best time of 1:28.74. The time ranks second in program history, one second off the school record.
