Three Red Hawks Named NJAC Rookies of the Week

Pitman, NJ- Announced on Monday afternoon by the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) office, Montclair State University saw three Red Hawks get named NJAC Rookies of the Week for their performances between April 13 and 19.
 
Baseball's JOHN TOMSHO and men's outdoor track and field's MARKOS HANTSOULIS were named Rookies of the Week, while softball's JORDAN TARABOKIA was named NJAC Rookie Pitcher of the Week.
 
Tomsho had another great week for the Red Hawks during a 4-0 week. He batted .421 with eight hits, four RBI, a double, and seven runs scored. His highlight game of the week was during Montclair's 17-6 win, where he finished 3-for-5 with two RBI, a double, and three runs scored.
 
Hantsoulis continued his stellar rookie campaign at the Paul Donahue Invite on Saturday at Widener. He won his fourth consecutive javelin event, throwing 63.31m. His throw was nearly seven meters longer than the person in second place.
 
Tarabokia had a great week for Montclair, going 2-0. In 14 innings, she struck out 13 batters, just shy of one per inning. Six came during the 10-2 win against New Jersey City on Tuesday, and seven came during the 6-2 triumph against Rutgers-Camden on Saturday. She also finished with a 1.50 ERA.
 
Tarabokia earns this honor for the fourth time this season, while Tomsho and Hantsoulis earn this accolade for the second time.
