Sophomore field hockey forward Brittany Carroll (Kingston, NY / Rondout Valley), named the NJAC Offensive Player of the Week, completed one of the best seasons for Montclair State both as a team an individually as the Red Hawks advanced to the second round of the NCAA Dvision III Field Hockey Championship. Carroll, who is named Athlete of the Week for the second time, picked up two assists and had a key defensive save in the first round against Rhodes College before scoring the game-winning goal in the second overtime as Montclair State advanced with a 3-2 victory. She then had assist as MSU closed out its 19-3 season with a 4-2 loss to No. 2 ranked Salisbury. Carroll finished with 17 goals, 12 assists and 46 points, which rank fourth, fourth and third respectively on the MSU single-season list. She is ranked second in the NJAC in points, third in goals and tied for the league lead in assists.
