Fredericksburg, VA - Junior Chris Doddridge (Springfield, VA/West Springfield) scored four times as Mary Washington College broke open a close game in the third quarter en route to an 8-4 victory over Montclair State in NCAA Division III Men's Lacrosse action at Mary Washington College on Monday afternoon.
Sophomore attacker Mark Fiore (Doylestown, PA/Central Bucks West) added a goal and three assists for the Eagles (2-1), who snapped a 3-3 tie in the third by scoring the final three goals of the period.

CHRIS MEIXNER (Hamburg, NJ/Vernon) had a goal while sophomore
KEVIN GONDRES (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) recorded two assists for the Red Hawks (1-2), who have dropped two straight following a 9-7 season-opening win over Drew University on March 1st.
Trailing 3-2 in the third period, Montclair's
RICH DOYEN (Basking Ridge, NJ/Ridge) tied the game as he recorded his third goal of the season with eight minutes remaining in the period. However, Paul Schutzman (Wading River, NY/Shoreham Wading River) gave MWC the lead 90 seconds later and Doddridge scored his third goal of the game to make it a two-goal advantage with 3:32 left in the quarter. Fiore then capped the spurt with a goal at the 1:15 mark as the Eagles led 6-3 after three periods.
DAVE STRUNK (Pottstown, PA/Potts Grove) and
JOHN DELLA PESCA (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) also had goals for the Red Hawks, who were outshot in the game, 37-18.
VINNY DEGENNARO (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) had 11 saves for Montclair State while Tim Boon (Floral Park, NY/Floral Park Memorial) made seven for Mary Washington.
