The Broncos flipped the field and scored at 13:23 for the game's first goal. KAI DONAHUE put a shot on the cage that was saved, but RYAN VIERBUCHEN followed up to tie the game. SUNY Delhi scored the next two goals at 9:10 and 3:20 to hold a 3-1 lead. Donahue ended the quarter with a goal and shaved the deficit to 3-2 after one period. Delhi expanded the lead in the first three minutes of the second quarter. BRIAN KELLY scored shortly after at 12:40 and sparked four unanswered goals for the Red Hawks. MAX MOROSOFF and JONATHAN SLUSSER scored in just about a minute of each other to even the score 5-5 with 9:37 remaining in the half. Both teams traded possessions before Vierbuchen slotted in a goal with 1:28 remaining to give Montclair a 6-5 lead heading into halftime. The Broncos evened the score within the first two minutes of the third. CORBIN QUINTERO caused a turnover that led to HENRY NORDSTROM connecting with Slusser at the 11:06 timestamp to regain the lead, 7-6. A led to a Vierbuchen man-up goal that pushed the Red Hawks to a two-goal advantage. A failed clear led to another Broncos goal and turned a successful clear on their end into a score that tied the game 8-8 with 6:48 remaining in the third period. Montclair rattled off three shots the next possession, but were unable to find the mark. A turnover at 3:08 led to another Montclair goal as Kelly found Morosoff for the score to take the lead. With under a minute to go, CARTER FINNEN was able to connect with Kelly to put the score at 10-8 entering the fourth quarter. Penalties came early in the fourth for both teams. Montclair was unable to use a man-up situation and fell man down at the 11:39 mark. The Red Hawks did kill the penalty and ended up scoring man down as another Quintero forced turnover led to a smooth clear, where PATRICK BOURKE passed to LOGAN LAMARCA, who fired in a shot for the man-down goal. The Broncos capitalized on a man-up opportunity at 6:39, but goals from JACK NORBERTO (4:24) and JACKSON SIMONS (1:45) put the game out of reach at 13-9, and Montclair came away with the win.
