Kings Point, NY - Senior Nick Watts (Thomasville, GA) scored with 1:13 left in overtime as Kings Point edged Montclair State, 9-8 in Knickerbocker Men's Lacrosse Conference action on Saturday afternoon.

JOHN DELLA PESCA (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) had four goals and one assist for the Red Hawks (8-4, 5-2 KLC), who saw their four-game winning streak snapped with the loss.
Tied at 5-5 after three periods, Kings Point took a 7-5 lead as Watts scored early in the period and Matt McCarthy scored off a feed from Dan Gately with 13:05 to play for a 7-5 USMMA advantage.
However, Montclair State came back with three straight goals to take the lead.
SEAN PEKARSKY (Clifton, NJ/Clifton) scored with 11:29 remaining to cut the deficit to one and Pekarsky tied the game with 8:09 left as he scored his second.
BRIAN SHADIACK then tied the game with 7:22 to remaining.
But Gately made the MSU lead short-lived as he scored with 5:22 to go sending the game into overtime. MSU had an opportunity in the extra period as they held a man-advantage to start the quarter, however, they were unable to capitalize.
VINNY DEGENNARO (Fair Lawn, NJ/Fair Lawn) had 10 saves for Montclair State, which was outshot in the contest, 34-32. Walter Keane had 10 saves for the Mariners.
The Red Hawks return to action on Monday, April 21st as they host Molloy College (NY) at Sprague Field beginning at 4:00 pm.
