Montclair, NJ – Senior goalkeeper
SHANE KEENAN of the No. 9/12 Montclair State men's soccer team was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week Monday.
Keenan earns his second career NJAC Defensive Player of the Week nod after picking one up last spring.
In the Red Hawks' lone game of the week, they took down Stockton University 2-0. In the victory, Keenan made a pair of saves to preserve the shutout. He also was involved in breaking several crosses that did not result in shot attempts for the Ospreys.
In seven games this season, Keenan is 7-0-0 has allowed just one goal. His .933 save percentage and .143 goals-against average are tops in Division III this season, while he is tied for seventh with six clean sheets.
The Red Hawks return to the pitch on Wednesday as they face Ramapo College at 3 pm.
