Cross Country: Meet Day Preview - Rowan Border Battle

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State cross country team heads to South Jersey for the Rowan Border Battle Saturday morning.

MEET INFO
The Border Battle will be held at DREAM Park in Logan Twp, NJ, with the 6K women's race beginning at 11 am.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks placed third at the Golden Eagle Invitational last Sunday. They totaled 149 team points in the 5K event and were paced by junior CHRISTIANA CAPRIO. Caprio turned in a 12th place time of 20:48.52 and was the third-fastest Division III runner in the field.

AWARD SEASON
After her performance on Sunday, Caprio was recognized as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Runner of the Week. She became just the second runner to gain NJAC Runner of the Week honors since the program was reinstated.

REST OF THE PACK
Seniors EMILY ALBRIGHT and NATASHA SENATUS finished within .13 seconds of each other, tallying 31 and 32 team points, respectively. Albright clocked in at 22:16.58 while Senatus finished at 22:16.71. ROSALY SANTOS crossed the finish line in 23:02.12 while classmate NICOLE DOWDY notched a time of 23:09.89.
