Glassboro, NJ – ABIGAIL CHURCHILL became the first Red Hawk in the modern era to qualify for NCAA Championships as the Montclair State University cross country team competed at the NCAA Metro Regional Championship on Saturday morning.
HOW IT HAPPENED
INSIDE THE RESULTS
- Churchill became the first student-athlete since the revival of the program in 2016 to qualify for the NCAA Cross Country Championships, adding to her stellar senior campaign for the Red Hawks.
- On top of earning the individual qualifier, Churchill set a new program record in the 6k, marking the third time this season she has set a new mark in the event, shaving over a minute off the previous time coming into the year.
- Bernard, Bohrer, Guerrero-Dominguez, and Cochran all set new career-bests on the day for Montclair.

Churchill will take part in the NCAA Division III Championships on Saturday, November 22, in Spartansburg, SC. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.
