Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State men's soccer team heads to Rowan University for a Saturday evening New Jersey Athletic Conference matchup.

On Tuesday evening, the Red Hawks (14-1-1, 7-0 NJAC) blanked RPI 1-0. AMER LUKOVIC tallied his 16th goal of the season, blasting in his own rebound off a free-kick in the 84th minute. Goalkeeper

AWARD SEASON
IAN CHESNEY was named the NJAC Defensive Player of the Week Monday after anchoring a defensive unit that allowed just one goal on seven over two matches.

The Profs come into the match boasting a 9-2-1 mark overall, including a 4-2-1 record within the New Jersey Athletic Conference. After their having Saturday's game rescheduled to Wednesday, the
Profs were knocked off by Kean University 2-0. Goalkeeper James Weinberg made seven saves in the setback.

LAST MEETING
Montclair picked up a 1-0 win over Rowan in the NJAC Championship Match on November 9, 2019. After Rowan was reduced to 10 men in the 40th minute, Oscar Sanchez won the game with exactly two minutes to go off a feed from Colin Mulligan.

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair is 32-35-6 all-time against Rowan but has notched victories in three of the last four matchups. Montclair picked up eight straight victories over Rowan from October 15, 2005 – September 16, 2010, while Rowan won seven consecutive matches from October 19, 1990 – September 27, 1995.
