Montclair, NJ – Freshman righthander JACK HAVESON was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Rookie Pitcher of the Week on Monday.

The Garnet Valley, PA native provided an outstanding relief effort in the Red Hawks' 21-5 victory over The College of New Jersey at Yogi Berra Stadium last Friday. Haveson entered the game in the top
of the first inning with MSU trailing 5-0. He recorded the final out and added 6 1/3 scoreless innings after that allowing one hit with seven strikeouts to earn his first collegiate victory.

In four appearances this season covering 13.1 innings, Haveson has allowed 10 hits, struck out 14 and walked two while posting an ERA of 2.03.
