Men's Soccer: Gameday Preview vs. Rutgers-Camden

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State men's soccer team opens New Jersey Athletic Conference action Saturday at Rutgers-Camden.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks drew with Moravian 1-1 in a rain-shortened affair Wednesday evening. The Greyhounds scored early, but GENE CARLO ALTAMIRANO knocked in a free-kick from ANTHONY PELAEZ to pull even right before halftime. The game was called midway through the first overtime due to lightning in the area.
 
AWARD SEASON
A week after being named the New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week, Lukovic was tabbed as the NJAC Rookie of the Week. He posted a pair of assists in a win over Hunter before scoring the lone marker against NYU.

SCOUTING RUTGERS-CAMDEN
The Scarlet Raptors are 3-1-2 on the season, including a 2-1-0 mark at home this year. They drew Cabrini 1-1 Wednesday evening, with Skyler Diggs scoring the game-tying goal with eight minutes remaining. Goalkeeper Connor Smith made three saves in goal to help Rutgers-Camden earn the draw.
 
LAST MEETING
Montclair earned a 3-1 win over Rutgers-Camden in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Semifinals last April. DANIEL RODRIGUEZ, STEFAN KOROMAN, and GENE CARLO ALTAMIRANO tallied goals, while JANBI KAGHADO notched two assists. SHANE KEENAN made three saves in the victory.
