Montclair, NJ – The No. 8 Montclair State men's soccer team hosts Hunter College Wednesday afternoon.

PRESEASON RANKING
When the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll was released on August 4, the Red Hawks were chosen eighth in the country. They were one of two New Jersey Athletic Conference teams in the top-25, joining Rowan, who slotted in at No. 15.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The No. 8 Red Hawks notched a 3-1 victory over host Washington College Sunday during the second day of the Athey Cup. Freshman midfielder AMER LUKOVIC tallied a pair of goals, including a free-kick from 22 yards out that froze the goalkeeper.
 
AWARD SEASON
After tallying four goals and two assists last week, Lukovic was tabbed as the NJAC Offensive Player of the Week. The rookie recorded at least three points in all three matchups last week.

SCOUTING HUNTER
The Hawks have not played since November 16, 2019, when they fell to Kean 5-0 in the ECAC Tournament. Anthony Simos started four games in goal, posting a 1-2-0 mark, while Sammy Ahmed scored four times during the 2019 campaign.
 
LAST MEETING
The two sides played last o September 4, 2019, with MSU earning a 7-0 clean sheet. Current Red Hawk FRANK ORAMAS capped off the scoring in the 83rd minute as they held Hunter to just three shots on the day.
