Cahill Tabbed to United Soccer Coaches All-America Team

Junior Forward Named To Second Team

Montclair, NJ – A day after earning First Team All-Region IV honors, junior AILEEN CAHILL of the women's soccer team was tabbed as a Second Team All-American by the United Soccer Coaches Wednesday.

Cahill earns her first All-America honor and the first since current Assistant Coach Erin Sullivan notched Third Team accolades as a defender in 2016. She is also just the sixth in program history to earn All-America status by a Coaches Association.

Cahill collected NJAC Midfielder of the Year honors, which was her third individual honor after picking up Rookie of the Year honors during the Spring 2021 campaign and Offensive Player of the Year in the Fall 2021 season. The junior led the Red Hawks with 16 goals and 41 points this year. The 41 points are the third-most in a single season, while the 16 goals are the fourth-best.

The Little Egg Harbor, NJ native opened the year with points in the first three games before reeling off a six-game point streak where she totaled seven goals and four assists. She capped the run off with her first career hat trick in an 8-0 victory over John Jay on October 5. Two games later, she added her second hat trick of the year, scoring all three goals against Rutgers-Newark.
