Montclair, NJ – Former Montclair State women's volleyball assistant coach Brian Hurler has been named the Performance Analyst for the USA's Women's National Team.
Hurler will work with directly with the program's coaches and athletes on scouting, video, and match analysis.
"It has been a dream of mine to one day join this National Team staff and to work at this level of volleyball. My time at Montclair State, working under Eddie Stawinski and with our great student-athletes, helped prepare me for this role and fueled my love for our sport. The volleyball staff at MSU has worked incredibly hard to build a program with a high-level culture that promotes volleyball success, love for the game, and personal growth. I look back fondly at my time at Montclair State, and many thanks to the staff and student-athletes there for their support."
Hurler joined the Red Hawks as an assistant coach in 2016, and his addition to the staff proved to be vital. "I am beyond excited for Brian's new position with USA Volleyball and the Women's National Team," explained Head Women's Volleyball Coach Eddie Stawinski. "Brian made an immediate impact on our program when he started working with us in 2016. He focused on opponent scouting and has continued growing and learning in that area by being part of amazing programs along the way. Brian has worked with top Division I programs and outstanding coaches, which has prepared him for this great opportunity. Brian is a great coach and an even better person. We wish him the very best in this new role and carry out his dream of working with the National Team."
