Men's Lacrosse: Game Day Preview vs. FDU-Florham

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State men's lacrosse team hosts FDU-Florham Friday evening.

LAST TIME OUT
On Wednesday afternoon, the Red Hawks (2-2) outscored McDaniel 7-1 in the second half en route to a 15-5 triumph. CHRISTIAN BOYLE, JOE COVINO, and Matthew Hollan tallied five points each as goalkeeper DAVID METZGER stopped 12 shots in the win.

SCOUTING THE DEVILS
The Devils enter the contest with an 0-2 mark, dropping a 14-4 decision to Kean in their opener last Wednesday before falling to crosstown rival Drew University on Saturday.

LAST MEETING
Montclair State picked up an 11-7 road victory against FDU on February 19, 2020. The Red Hawks scored four straight goals in the first quarter and led 7-3 at the break. Jesse James West led MSU with four goals as TYLER MCCREERY posted three goals and two assists.

SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks are 12-17 all-time against FDU but have won two straight. The victory in 2008 snapped a four-game losing skid dating back to 1998. The Red Hawks' best stretch came from 1991-1996, when they earned wins in four consecutive matchups.
