Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State softball team hosts Hunter College in a twin-bill Friday afternoon.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (6-3) swept Centenary in their home-opener 8-0 and 9-2 Wednesday. KAYLA COSENTINO drove in four runs in the opener as JENNA MELUSO had two doubles and three RBI. KAYLA VOLANTE moved to a perfect 3-0 on the year as ALYSSA BOROZAN and ANNALESA DILAURENZIO delivered triples in the nightcap.

SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks are 40-2 against Hunter all-time, dropping a 6-5 decision in 2017 and a 13-12 decision in their first meeting in 1966. After the 1966 loss, the Red Hawks won 35 consecutive games against the Hawks.

LAST MEETING
Montclair State swept a doubleheader against the Hawks on March 26, 2019. They won 6-2 in the opener behind two RBI from Lia Stamile before Valentina Cucci, and Blake Saperstein drove in two runs apiece in the nightcap.
