Montclair, NJ- Announced on Tuesday afternoon by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) organization, the Montclair State University softball team landed four student-athletes on this year's Academic All-District for their performance on and off the diamond.

The 2026 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

To be eligible for the Academic All-District team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher and have a 3.50 cumulative GPA. Position players must have competed in at least 90% of the team games played, or have started at least 66% of the total number of team games played. For pitchers, players must pitch 35-plus innings or appear in 17 games as a pitcher.

Representing the Red Hawks on the 2026 list are
MOLLY COLLIGAN,
LIZ MULLEN,
CARLEE IANNONE, and
CARLY MOCKENHAUPT.

Colligan earned her spot as a 38-game starter at third base while garnering a perfect 4.0 GPA as a business administration major. She put together a .208 batting average with 12 hits, three RBI, and eight runs scored this season. Defensively, she produced a .962 fielding percentage with 42 putouts and a team-leading 83 assists.

Mullen started 40 of 41 games this past season with a 3.88 GPA as a business administration major. Mullen finished her senior season with a .348 batting average with 40 hits, 27 RBI, eight doubles, a triple, two home runs, 25 runs scored, and 14 stolen bases. Defensively, she tabbed 63 putouts and 61 assists. She adds this accolade to the Second Team All-NJAC she earned earlier this month.

Iannone earned her spot with a 3.98 GPA as an accounting major and started all 37 of her games. A two-time NJAC Player of the Week, she wrapped up her final season with a .357 batting average and accumulated 40 hits, 27 RBI, 10 doubles, three home runs, and nine runs scored. Defensively, she produced a .985 fielding percentage with 194 putouts and seven assists.

Mockenhaupt rounds out the list with a 3.70 cumulative GPA as a Hospitality, Sports, Events, and Tourism major. She also pitched 95.2 innings and made 15 starts in 19 games played. A Second Team All-NJAC selection and an NJAC Pitcher of the Week, she produced a 1.32 ERA, had a .222 batting average against, and struck out a total of 78 batters.

Colligan and Mullen earn this honor in back-to-back seasons, while Iannone and Mockenhaupt earn it for the first time.

The Red Hawks finished the 2026 season with a 26-15 overall record and an 11-7 mark in NJAC play. The team's 26 wins marked its best overall record since 2019.
