Men's Lacrosse: Game Day Preview vs. Stockton

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State men's lacrosse team opens CSAC play with a road game against Stockton on Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT
On Saturday afternoon, the Red Hawks (6-2) notched their sixth consecutive win with a 17-5 triumph over Delaware Valley. Leading 2-1, the Red Hawks reeled off the following 15 markers spanning nearly three full quarters to break the game open. TYLER MCCREERY tallied three goals and six assists while goalkeeper DAVID METZGER stopped seven shots.

SCOUTING THE OSPREYS
This season, the Ospreys are 5-2 overall, including a 3-2 mark at home. The Red Hawks and Ospreys share a familiar opponent in Misericordia, which both sides defeated. Stockton tallied a 19-14 victory while Montclair State recorded an 18-16 win.

SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks are 34-11 all-time against Stockton but have fallen in their last four meetings. The Stockton win in 2017 snapped a 19-game Montclair State winning streak that dated back to 2006.

LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks fell 21-12 in their last meeting against Stockton last April. ROBERT BRENNAN scored to trim the deficit to one at 4-3, but the Ospreys tallied nine of the next 10 markers to build a big halftime lead. TYLER MCCREERY netted four goals and three assists in the setback.
