Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State softball team hosts The College of New Jersey in New Jersey Athletic Conference action Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT
On Tuesday, the Red Hawks (19-14, 3-9 NJAC) split a doubleheader with William Paterson, winning 7-3 in the opener before falling 6-4 in game two. DANIELLE SIBILIO homered twice and drove in four runs in the first game, while KAYLA COSENTINO had two RBI in the second game.

SCOUTING THE LIONS
The Lions re-entered the national rankings, ranked No. 24 in the NFCA Coaches Poll, and have a 22-5 record. Within the NJAC, they are 10-2 and have won nine of their last 10 games. They are coming off a sweep of Rutgers-Camden yesterday.

SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks are 48-89-2 all-time but have dropped six consecutive games. Montclair State's last victory came in a twinbill sweep on April 29, 2017, when they won 6-1 and 14-6. The Red Hawks are just 21-25 at the MSU Softball Stadium in the series.
 
LAST MEETING
Last spring, the Red Hawks fell in a doubleheader to the Lions, falling 10-0 and 10-2. KAYLA GALLO, AMBER REED, and DANIELLE DECARLO recorded in the opener while Gallo belted a two-run home run to center field for the lone two tallies in the nightcap.
