Men's Lacrosse: Game Day Preview vs. Scranton

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State men's lacrosse team closes out non-conference action with a road game on Wednesday against the University of Scranton.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (6-3) were tripped up in the CSAC opener against Stockton Saturday, falling 15-14. MATT DANCSECS tallied five goals and an assist, with TYLER MCCREERY adding five assists, but the Red Hawks could not fight back after falling behind by four goals in the third quarter.

SCOUTING THE ROYALS
The Royals are 4-5 on the season but 0-2 within the Landmark Conference. They fell 19-10 in the last game to Catholic and recently edged CSAC foe Kean University by a slim 13-12 margin.

SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks are 6-6 all-time against Scranton, with Montclair winning the last three games. Scranton notched wins in the previous six before the Red Hawks' three-game winning streak for their largest stretch of victories.

LAST MEETING
Montclair State notched an 11-10 triumph in their last meeting on February 29, 2020. The Red Hawks led 9-5 early in the fourth quarter, but Scranton notched five of the final six goals to force overtime. Early in the extra session, CHRISTIAN BOYLE fired home a pass from Skyler Francisco to win the game on the first possession.
