Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State softball team visits Ramapo College to continue New Jersey Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (17-8, 1-3 NJAC) dropped a pair of games to Kean on Tuesday. They fell 5-0 in the opener before losing 2-1 in the second game. MADISON LEECH had the lone RBI on the walk, working a bases-loaded walk in game two.

SCOUTING THE ROADRUNNERS
The Roadrunners are 11-4 and riding a three-game winning streak. They are 3-1 in the NJAC, having swept William Paterson 4-3 and 9-0 on Tuesday. Ramapo has only played two home games, sweeping Mount St. Mary 6-1 and 2-1 on March 22.

SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks are 45-24 all-time against the Roadrunners but 11-14 in Mahwah. Ramapo notched a nine-game winning streak from April 18, 2015 – April 24, 2018, with MSU winning 16 consecutive games from May 4, 1992 – April 27, 2002.
 
LAST MEETING
Montclair State swept a twinbill last year at home against Ramapo, winning 8-2 and 6-1 on April 13. KAYLA COSENTINO, AMBER POWERS, KAYLA GALLO, and AMBER REED notched two hits in the opener before Gallo collected three hits in the nightcap. CHLOE SAPERSTEIN went 2-for-2 in game two, driving in a pair of runs.
