Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State men's lacrosse team hosts Kean in the CSAC Semifinals Tuesday.

TICKET PRICES
Tickets for tomorrow are $5 for adults 16 years of age or older. Anyone under the age of 16 will be admitted free, as will Montclair State students, faculty, and staff with a valid ID.
 
LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (11-4, 5-1 CSAC) punctuated their regular season with a 23-2 triumph over Bryn Athyn Thursday. MIKE MCCREERY notched a goal and seven assists as TYLER MCCREERY poured in seven goals. CHRISTIAN BOYLE tallied three goals while CONNOR GABILANES netted a hat-trick. DAVID METZGER stopped six shots in 44:03 before JACK HAEMMERLE relieved him, making one stop over the final 8:14.
 
AWARD SEASON
WILSON SMITH was named the CSAC Defensive Player of the Year as the program placed 10 on the All-CSAC Team Monday. Smith and MATT DANCSECS gained First Team honors, as TYLER MCCREERY, JOE COVINO, and DAVID METZGER were named to the Second Team. The Honorable Mention choices featured CHRISTIAN BOYLE, MIKE MCCREERY, AIDAN LONG, DAVID DRISCOLL, and JACK CLEARY.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS
Kean is 10-5 on the season and 4-2 in the CSAC. They had won their last three games after dropping a 14-13 heartbreaker to Stockton on April 13 before the loss last week. The two sides have also faced off against FDU-Florham and Scranton, with Kean going 2-0 and Montclair going 1-1 versus the common foes.
 
SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks are 47-18 all-time against Kean and snapped a three-game losing skid to their Garden State Parkway rivals last week. Before the setback on March 12 last season, Montclair State had won the previous 18 contests against their rivals.
 
LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks downed Kean 16-11 last Wednesday. CHRISTIAN BOYLE and TYLER MCCREERY tallied four goals, while WILSON SMITH caused six turnovers with seven ground balls. DAVID METZGER denied 14 shots in goal as the Red Hawks reeled off eight consecutive goals spanning the first and second quarters.
 
POSTSEASON HISTORY
Montclair State and Kean are 1-1 against each other in the CSAC Tournament. The Red Hawks notched a 20-7 win in the Semifinals in 2019 before Kean picked up a 16-7 triumph last season.
 
UP NEXT
The winner will meet the Stockton/Rosemont in the CSAC Championship Saturday at the site of the highest remaining seed at a time to be determined.
