Softball: Game Day Preview vs. Rowan (NJAC Tournament)

Montclair, NJ – The No.6 seed Montclair State softball team visits No. 1 seed Rowan University to open the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament Tuesday afternoon.

TICKET INFORMATION
Ticket prices for all rounds of the 2022 NJAC Softball Championship (including contests at campus sites) are $5.00 for adults; $2.00 for students (with ID); $2.00 for senior citizens; and $2.00 for children. All ticket sales are CASH ONLY.

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (23-16, 7-11 NJAC) split a doubleheader with Stockton Saturday. They lost the first game 6-2 before rebounding with a 4-3 win in the nightcap. STEPHANIE SERETIS went 2-for-4 with her first career homer and earned the save, and helped the team lock up the No. 6 seed.

SCOUTING THE PROFS
The Profs (30-8, 15-3 NJAC) took two from NJCU on Saturday in the regular-season finale to help lock up the top spot. Rowan has four consecutive games, with their last setback coming against Kean on April 23. They also boast an 11-1 mark at home, with the lone loss coming against Stockton on April 20.

SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks are 58-70 all-time against Rowan and have dropped seven consecutive meetings against their South Jersey foes. The Red Hawks' last victory came on March 31, 2018, when they won 8-2 and have
not won in Glassboro since April 2, 2017.

LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks fell in a doubleheader to Rowan University by identical 3-0 margins earlier this season. Alexia Law, ALYSSA BOROZAN, and KAYLA COSENTINO tallied hits in both ends of the twinbill for Montclair State.
