Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State baseball team faces off against William Paterson University in the New Jersey Athletic Conference Tournament Sunday.

The first pitch in Union, NJ, is scheduled for 7 pm, with live stats and video available on montclairathletics.com.

TICKET INFORMATION
Ticket prices for all rounds of the 2022 NJAC Baseball Championship (including contests at campus sites) are $5.00 for adults; $2.00 for students (with ID); $2.00 for senior citizens; and $2.00 for children. All ticket sales are CASH ONLY.

LAST TIME OUT
On Tuesday afternoon, the Red Hawks (31-9) seeded second, edged fifth-seeded The College of New Jersey 3-2 on Tuesday afternoon. MILES FEASTER drove in all three runs while PATRICK CUCCURULLO matched his career-high with 10 strikeouts over 6 1/3 innings. JACK HAVESON earned his eighth save of the year by tossing the final two innings, fanning four.

SCOUTING THE PIONEERS
The Pioneers are 27-13 and earned the No. 3 seed in the tournament. On Tuesday, they topped the fourth-seeded Kean 5-4 on Tuesday despite trailing 4-0 after the first inning. Carson Weis homered in the second to cut the lead in the half in the second, and Dan Carter delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth.
  
SERIES HISTORY
Montclair State holds a 115-88 mark against the Pioneers, including victories in both matchups this season. Entering this season, William Paterson had won six of the previous eight matchups.

LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks clipped William Paterson 1-0 in their last meeting on April 22. ANTHONY GUARINO delivered a walk-off double in the bottom of the ninth to score MILES FEASTER. PATRICK CUCCURULLO set a career-high with 10 strikeouts, and DARREN GONZALEZ earned his third victory with two shutout innings of relief.
