Aileen Cahill Gains NJAC Offensive Player of the Week Honors

Montclair, NJ – Forward AILEEN CAHILL of the Montclair State women's soccer team was tabbed as the New Jersey Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week Tuesday.

Cahill potted two goals and an assist in the Red Hawk's 3-0 start. In the season-opening victory against Alvernia, the junior scored the lone goal of the match as she converted a penalty kick in the 73rd minute. Against Gordon, the Little Egg Harbor, NJ native once again scored via a penalty kick, this time in the ninth minute, to give MSU a 1-0 lead. Cahill capped off the week by collecting an assist on KYLIE PRENDERGAST's game-winning marker in the 79th minute against Endicott.

The Red Hawks return to action Wednesday as they host Vassar volleyball at 7 pm.
