Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State men's lacrosse team hosts the University of Scranton Saturday afternoon.
 
GAME INFO

LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (1-0) came from behind to knock off Vassar College 11-10 in the season opener Saturday. Montclair State trailed 10-8 with 12:35 but netted the final three tallies, including JACK CLEARY's unassisted marker with 2:58 to go. MATTHEW HOLLAND led the Red Hawks with three goals as RYAN VIERBUCHEN recorded two goals and an assist in his collegiate debut.

SCOUTING THE ROYALS
The Royals opened the season with a 25-10 loss to Salisbury on February 18. The Sea Gulls used a 9-0 second-quarter run to take a 15-3 halftime advantage and never looked back.

SERIES HISTORY
The Royals hold a slim 7-6 edge in the all-time series and snapped a three-game losing skid last April. Scranton's longest winning streak came from 1995-1999, when they earned five consecutive victories.
 
LAST MEETING
Scranton notched an 18-10 triumph in Scranton, Pa., on April 6, 2022. TYLER MCCREERY tallied eight points on five goals and three assists as MATT DANCSECS and CHRISTIAN BOYLE combined for 27 shots in the setback. DAVID METZGER played all 60 minutes in goal, denying 16 attempts.
