LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks (14-4) swept John Jay in a doubleheader Thursday. They routed the Bloodhounds 25-1 in the opener behind three RBI from ALYSSA BOROZAN and three hits from AMBER REED and KAYLEE DELOSSANTOS. NIKKI LUSNIA gave the Red Hawks seven innings of scoreless relief in the 7-6 extra-inning win in game two, as LIZ MULLEN hit a walk-off sacrifice fly.

SCOUTING THE SCARLET RAIDERS
Rutgers-Newark is 6-8 on the season and has won three of their last four games. Their only setback game on March 28 when they fell 8-3 in the second game against Hunter.

SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks are 24-3 against Rutgers-Newark. RU-N's win in the opener of last year's doubleheader snapped a four-game Montclair State winning streak.

LAST MEETING
Montclair and Rutgers-Newark split a twin bill on April 2, 2022. The Red Hawks fell 4-3 in the opener despite two hits from ALYSSA BOROZAN and two RBI from KAYLA COSENTINO. Montclair rebounded in the second game, scoring nine consecutive runs after falling 3-0 in the first. Borozan homered and added two RBI along with KATIE DEBELL and AMBER REED.
