Ewing, NJ – The Montclair State outdoor track and field teams posted several personal bests at the Lions Invitational Friday.
The Red Hawks only competed in the hammer throw and the triple jump Friday.
WOMEN'S RECAP
- MIA PEGUERO took sixth in the triple jump to highlight the top performers. Peguero reached a personal-best long of 10.52m, missing third by .13m. JESSICA HOLLER also competed in the triple jump, hitting 9.5. TARA MASTROIANNI hit 30.65m to close out the women's competitors on the day.
MEN'S RECAP
- JABEZ THOMAS placed second in the triple jump, hitting 13.89m. Teammate BECK DEENY grabbed a fifth-place distance of 13.21m in the same event. HIROKI TSUTSUMI netted a PR of 45.38m in the hammer throw, good for 11th.

The Red Hawks close out the Lions Invitational tomorrow, with the first event underway at 11 am.
