Volleyball Releases 2023 Schedule

Montclair, NJ – The Montclair State volleyball team released its 2023 campaign Thursday morning.

The Red Hawks open the season on September 1 as they compete in the two-day Greyhound Premiere Invitational, hosted by Moravian University. Montclair will battle Centenary on day one before facing Ursinus and host Moravian on day two. After battling nationally-ranked NYU on September 5, the Red Hawks open their home slate against FDU-Florham on September 6.

The first home tri-match of the year takes place September 9 as the team welcomes Franklin & Marshall and Springfield before heading to Pennsylvania for five matches. They will face Arcadia on September 12 before going to Misericordia for four games on September 15-16. Montclair opens New Jersey Athletic Conference action on September 19 as they host Kean and face perennial top-NJAC contenders Rowan and Stockton consecutively.

After facing NCAA Tournament team Stevens on October 7, the Red Hawks head back to Pennsylvania for their final road tri-match of the season when they take on Penn State-Berks and Lancaster Bible College. The Red Hawks finish NJAC play with road contests against William Paterson (October 19) and Rutgers-Newark (October 24) before concluding the regular season with four straight home affairs. The team welcomes Hunter College (October 27), USMMA (November 3), and New Paltz/DeSales (November 4).

The six-team NJAC Tournament begins on November 7 with the Quarterfinals, with the Semifinals and Finals set for November 9 and 11, respectively.
