CAMRYN MUUSS was named the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Rookie of the Year to headline a program record five names that Red Hawks earned on the 2024 All-NJAC list this season as announced by the conference office on Thursday.

Muuss' major award was met with the lone First Team selection for Montclair volleyball this season.
EMILY CARCICH and
KATIE RODMAN were selected to the Second Team while
SARAH CAPONE and
RACHEL CURRAN were added to the Honorable Mention list.

Muuss, in her first collegiate season, led the conference in total kills (343) and kills per set (3.85), with 126 kills and 4.50 kills per set coming in NJAC play which were both top marks in conference. She also led the NJAC during conference play with 130.5 total points and 4.66 points per set which were the most of any player in the NJAC since 2021. Camryn was also a four-time NJAC Rookie of the Week during the season and NJAC Player of the Week once.

Carcich earns her first appearance on NJAC list with her appearance on the second team. This season she has amassed a total of 953 assists with 9.34 assists per set that includes 290 assists and 10 assists per game in NJAC play, all of which rank second in the conference this season. She has also put together 216 digs and 17 service aces during the year.

Rodman also notched her first appearance on the All-NJAC team with her announcement on the second team. The NJAC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 6 (October 7), recorded 427 digs and 4.23 digs per set on the year with 133 digs and a 4.59 digs per set, all of which rank third best in the conference. She also has notched 45 service aces which sits at eighth in the conference this season while her 0.45 service aces per set ranks 10
th.

Capone is tabbed to the All-NJAC list in her first season of collegiate volleyball. The freshman outside hitter tallied 177 kills, 60 digs and 35 blocks on the year in 88 sets. Her season-high in kills came during a four-set win against Clarkson when she tallied 22 kills in the match.

Curran earns her second Honorable Mention All-NJAC selection in back-to-back years. The senior compiled 86 kills, 25 service aces, 203 digs and 18 blocks. She posted nine double-digit kill efforts and seven double-digit dig efforts on the year.

The Red Hawks notched the most student-athletes of any NJAC school with their five selections to this year's list, that was also the most names they have ever landed in one season in program history.

Montclair State University earned the second seed in the NJAC Tournament and will host third seed Stockton in the semifinals tonight, November 14. The match is scheduled for a 7:00pm slate.
