LAST TIME OUT
The Red Hawks fell to Kean 16-12 on Wednesday, April 17 at Sprague Field. The two sides traded goals throughout the first quarter, with the score level after 15 minutes. Kean struck for the first two markers of the second stanza, but Montclair answered with two of the next three, as JACK CLEARY and RYAN VIERBUCHEN each found the back of the net. The Cougars scored again to answer, but CARTER FINNEN struck off a feed from ETHAN MOUNIER to make the halftime score 8-7. The Cougars opened the third stanza with three out of the next four goals to expand the lead to three six minutes in. After Montclair answered with two out of three, Kean responded with two goals to make the margin four. The Red Hawks opened the fourth with two goals, but the Cougars struck for two more to hold off the late rally. Vierbuchen recorded his 100th career point in the contest, finishing with a game-high five goals.

SCOUTING SALISBURY
The Sea Gulls enter Saturday's contest undefeated at 15-0, including a perfect 4-0 mark in Coastal Lacrosse Conference play. They opened the season with a 29-6 victory over Berry, and then took down seven more nonconference opponents, including a 20-6 triumph over Catholic. In CLC play, they took down Kean 22-13 before cruising past Stockton 27-4. The Sea Gulls defeated #8 Christopher Newport and Mary Washington before resuming nonconference play with victories over Washington College and St. Mary's. Salisbury won the 2023 Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship with an overall record of 23-1, including a perfect 7-0 mark against conference opponents over both the regular and postseason. They were tabbed to repeat as CLC champions in the Preseason Coaches Poll, receiving six first place votes.

SERIES HISTORY
Montclair and Salisbury have met five times in their history dating back to the 2016 campaign, with the Sea Gulls taking all five contests. Saturday's game will mark the fifth all-time road contest for the Red Hawks against Salisbury.

LAST MEETING
The Red Hawks fell to Salisbury 23-7 in the CLC Tournament Semifinals on May 5, 2023. Salisbury opened the contest with the first seven goals and went into the break up 13-1. Montclair dug into the lead with three-consecutive markers midway through the third. The Sea Gulls responded with five-straight goals and did not relinquish the lead the rest of the way. TYLER MCCREERY and MATT DANCSECS recorded two goals each for Montclair.

The Red Hawks will await their opponent in the Opening Round of the 2024 CLC Tournament, with date and start time to be determined.
