Pitman, NJ- Announced on Monday afternoon by the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) office, Montclair State University men's basketball senior JACOB MORALES and men's indoor track and field sophomore HIVEN BIFFOT earned NJAC Athlete of the Week status for their performances between December 1 and 7.
 
Morales was awarded NJAC Player of the Week, while Biffot was named the NJAC Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Morales averaged a double-double with 23.5 points and 10 rebounds and totaled eight assists, six steals, and two blocks during a 2-0 week for Montclair. On Wednesday, during a 102-75 win against William Paterson, he finished with 29 points, seven rebounds, six assists, four steals, and two blocks in the win. He returned on Saturday and notched a double-double with 18 points and a career-high 13 rebounds to go along with two steals and two assists to propel the Red Hawks to a 87-74 win at Rutgers-Newark.
 
Biffot made school history at the TCNJ Season Opener when he jumped 15.11m in the triple jump, which was a school record. That jump is also the top mark in the entire nation after the first week of competition.
 
Morales earns his second NJAC Player of the Week award of the season, while Biffot earned the inaugural Field Athlete of the Week for the season and his second weekly award from the NJAC in his career.
