New Orleans, LA- Announced on Thursday afternoon by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, freshman HIVEN BIFFOT and senior JABEZ THOMAS earned All-Metro Region honors for their performances during the indoor season. Both student-athletes notched
 
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region on the year-end Descending Order Lists earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.
 
Both Biffot and Thomas both earned their top marks at the AARTFC Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 7. Biffot posted a mark of 14.82m (48' 7.5") that placed him fourth in the region and helped him win the event. He is followed by Thomas who notched a 14.37m (47' 1.5") that is ranked fifth in the region and was third at the event.
 
Thomas earns his second All-Metro Region honor of his career after earning the same accolade last season in the same event.
 
Biffot will travel to Nazareth, Pa. to take part in the NCAA Division III Championships meet on Saturday, March 15.
