Montclair, NJ – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced on Tuesday that Montclair State University men's basketball graduate student KIERAN FLANAGAN has been named to the 2025 Academic All-District Team for his achievements both on and off the court.
 
The 2025 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined excellence in athletics and academics. The CSC Academic All-America® program honors student-athletes across four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
 
To qualify for the Academic All-District Team, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in eligibility, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, and have played in at least 90% of the team's games or started 66% of them during the season.
 
Flanagan, a Justice Studies major, started all 29 games for Montclair while maintaining a 3.65 GPA. He finished his final season averaging 8.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game, leading the team with 134 total assists. He also contributed 47 steals and five blocks. Flanagan concludes his career as the program's all-time leader in games played and games started, with 117 in each category.
 
The Montclair State men's basketball team finished the season with a 22-7 overall record and a 14-4 NJAC record, securing its first NJAC Championship and earning its first NCAA Playoff victory since 2003.
