Chester, PA – JABEZ THOMAS set a new outdoor program record in the Triple Jump as the Montclair State University men's track and field team competed at the Danny Curran Invitational on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Thomas notched a mark of 14.98m, which placed second in the event. The Red Hawks had another member of the top five, as BECK DEENY recorded a mark of 14.32m to finish fifth.
• In the shot put, MATTHEW HAILU tallied a mark of 11.39m, with RANDY WORTHINGTON notching a mark of 11.30m. XAVIAN PENA rounded out the group with a mark of 10.13m.

INSIDE THE RESULTS

• The mark of 14.98m for Thomas broke a 54 year old outdoor program record, surpassing the mark of 14.80m set by Greg Weiss in 1971.
