Biffot & Ageymang Lead Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Competes at Oscar Moore Invitational

Glassboro, NJ. - The Montclair State University men's outdoor track and field team were led by HIVEN BIFFOT and SHELDON AGYEMANG, who each placed top three in their respective events at the Oscar Moore Invitational on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Biffot placed second among 19 marks recorded in long jump when he recorded a distance of 6.64m.
Agyemang competed in the triple jump where, he saw a third-place finish of 12.81m.
In throwing, the javelin was led by MOHAMMED ABDALLAH, who reached a distance of 49.71m that placed seventh among the field. Gabe Dayon placed 13^th (40.91m) and was followed by JACK VERBEL (40.41m).
In the shot put, RANDY WORTHINGTON earned the best mark for Montclair at 11.51m for a 16^th place finish. XAVIAN PENA placed 22^nd with a throw of 10.97m.
On the track, JAYSON ELLIS, KEVIN PEREIRA, and VAN DALTON all ran the 100-meter dash. Ellis (11.56) placed 31^st, Periera notched 36^th (11.79), and Dalton finished 55^th (12.40).
Wrapping up the events was JOSEPH BIO and JOSEPH HADRICK in the 400-meter dash. Bio clocked a 56.11 for a 37^th-place finish and Hadrick finished 43^rd with a time of 1:00.50.

"Weather was a big factor today, but I am proud of how we compted. Excited to get some guys back from injury and hopefully get some better weather next week." Head Coach Ian Carter.

Montclair State University will be heading to Bethlehem, Pa. next week as they are set to compete in the Coach Pollard Invite hosted by Moravian on Friday, April 18.
