Women's Track & Field Concludes TCNJ Invite & Multi

Ewing, NJ – The Montclair State University women's track and field team concluded the three-day TCNJ Invite and Multi on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Red Hawks were led by MARYAM KARIYM, who won the Triple Jump with a mark of 10.47m. SARAH LUMAS recorded a fifth place finish in the event at 9.65m.
On the track, KENDALL HALL notched a second place time of 16.75 in the 100m Hurdles. NYLA HANNAH ran a 27.85 in the 200m to finish second, and MICHELLE ITOUA clocked in at 1:02.91 in the 400m for a top ten mark.
ABIGAIL CHURCHILL recorded a new personal best in the 800m, placing fourth with a time of 2:26.61. LILIANA SNYDER also notched a top ten finish in the event with a ninth place mark of 2:29.29.
In the 1500m, TORI SUTERA finished with a time of 4:55.64 to place third. JULIA ACEVEDO tallied two fourth place finishes in the 400m Hurdles (1:09.36) and High Jump (1.43m).
Kaeyln Rodriguez notched a mark of 5.04m in the Long Jump, finishing fourth. Montclair was led in the Shot Put by TANIYA GILES, who recorded a mark of 11.30m to place fifth in the event.

INSIDE THE RESULTS

Churchill's new personal best also marked 10th all-time in program history in the 800m, with Snyder's time ranking seventh among freshmen.
Kariym's career day placed her third among freshmen all-time, with her mark ranking seventh in program history overall.
For Rodriguez, her mark ranked ninth all-time and the sixth-best among freshmen.
JORDAN BOHRER notched a personal best time of 5:37.44 in the 1500m, ranking 10th all-time in program history for freshmen.

The Red Hawks will participate in the Coach Pollard Invite on Friday, April 18, with the meet scheduled for 9:00 AM in Bethlehem, PA.
