Greenwood, IN – Announced Tuesday afternoon by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), five Montclair State University baseball student-athletes were tabbed to the 2025 Academic All-District Team for their excellence both in the classroom and on the field.
The 2025 Academic All-District® Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To be eligible, student-athletes must have competed in at least 90 percent of their team's games or started at least 66 percent. For pitchers, eligibility requires a minimum of 17 appearances or 35 innings pitched.
Representing the Red Hawks on the 2025 Academic All-District Team are

Dowlen earned Academic All-District honors with a 3.52 GPA as a marketing major. On the mound, he made 12 appearances (nine starts), throwing 54.2 innings with a 4-3 record and a 5.43 ERA. His 50 strikeouts were the second-most on the team. His standout performance came in an NJAC doubleheader against Rowan on April 5, when he struck out nine over 6.1 innings in a 13–6 win.
Egenhauser, a history major with a 3.51 GPA, started all 41 games in the infield. He posted a .296 batting average and led the team with three triples while tying for the team lead in runs scored (38). He also recorded 45 hits, 26 RBIs, five doubles, and seven stolen bases. Defensively, he led the team with 100 assists, added 38 putouts, and maintained a .958 fielding percentage. His top game was a 3-for-5 effort with three RBIs and a stolen base in a 14–5 win over Mount Saint Vincent on February 25.
Levis, a business administration major with a 3.85 GPA, started all 41 games, contributing at multiple positions. He led the team in hits (56) and stolen bases (21), while tying for the team lead in RBIs (35) and runs scored (38). His offensive stat line also included five doubles, two triples, and two home runs. Defensively, he logged 101 putouts and 14 assists. His best game came on February 25 against Mount Saint Vincent, where he tallied two hits, three RBIs, a run, and a stolen base. He previously earned All-NJAC Honorable Mention in May.
Teehan posted a 3.62 GPA while appearing in 18 games on the mound. He compiled a 4–2 record with a 2.92 ERA across 37 innings, striking out 41 batters while holding opponents to a .216 batting average. His nine saves were tied for third in the nation and just one shy of the program's single-season record. Teehan also tied the school's career saves record (12). He opened the year with three straight saves and tallied eight saves and three wins in his first 12 appearances. He also earned All-Region honors from D3baseball.com and the ABCA.
Tigar, who started 29 of 35 games at first base, led the Red Hawks with a .379 batting average. He collected 44 hits, 33 RBIs, 11 doubles, four home runs, and scored 28 runs. His nine doubles in NJAC play led the conference, and he ranked among the top 10 in nearly every offensive category during league play. Defensively, he notched 216 putouts, 10 assists, and a .991 fielding percentage. His best game came in a 15–15 tie against TCNJ, where he went 4-for-6 with six RBIs, three doubles, a home run, and two runs scored. Tigar also earned All-NJAC Honorable Mention in May.
Montclair State finished the 2025 season with a 24–16–1 overall record and a 10–7–1 mark in conference play, advancing to the second round of the NJAC Tournament.
