Montclair, NJ – After earning its way back into the national rankings, #16 Montclair State University men's soccer looks for its fourth-straight win as it hits the road to challenge Moravian on Wednesday.

LAST TIME OUT
Montclair capped off the weekend with a 1-0 win against Manhattanville on Sunday. The Red Hawks started the game on the front foot, rattling off three shots in the game's opening five minutes. Montclair broke through for the only goal of the night shortly after, as JAKE WINCHOCK struck an in-swinging free kick from well outside the box on the nearside of the field that was immediately flicked past the keeper on a header from DANNY TOBON. Montclair almost doubled the lead in the 11th minute, as an attempt from KENNETH NEVES rang off the woodwork. The Valiants tried to level the contest throughout the remainder of the first half, posting four shots, but none were on target. In the waning stages of the opening stanza, TOMAS MONTEIRO saw an attempt on goal go just left, making the halftime margin one. The Red Hawks began the second half with two shots on goal within the first 15 minutes, as both MAX PERRY and DIEGO FLORES saw their attempts collected by the Manhattanville keeper. Eight minutes later, DIESEL FIORE notched a pair of saves within 34 seconds as Manhattanville amassed four corner kicks over a three-minute span. Montclair did not allow a shot for the remainder of the game following that sequence, as GABE MENDEZ entered the contest and ripped a hard shot that had to be stopped by the keeper in the 74th minute. The home side collected eight more shots down the stretch, but could not add to their advantage and sealed their second consecutive shutout victory.

SCOUTING MORAVIAN 
The Greyhounds had a 2-2 record going into Saturday's game after suffering a close 2-1 away defeat at Muhlenberg College the previous weekend. After a successful 2024 season in which the program finished with a 9-3-5 overall record and qualified for the Landmark Conference Playoffs, but saw an early exit in the conference tournament at the hands of Elizabethtown, 2-0. Moravian was selected to finish fourth in the 2025 Landmark Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.
 
SERIES HISTORY
The Red Hawks and the Greyhounds face off for the 11^th time in their history which dates back to 1991. Montclair is in control of the series with an unbeaten record of 8-0-2 against Moravian.
 
LAST MEETING 
The last meeting between the two programs came last season on September 11, where Montclair State secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory on home turf.
