Cross Country Wins Herb Lorenz Invite; Clinches Top Three

Ewing, NJ – The Montclair State University cross country team took first place at the Herb Lorenz Invite on Friday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Red Hawks filled the top three at the event, as ABIGAIL CHURCHILL took first with a mark of 19:09.60. LILIANA SNYDER claimed second, clocking in at 20:31.60, and CECILE BERNARD notched third with a time of 21:15.90.
JORDAN BOHRER rounded out the top ten group, placing 10th with a mark of 21:44.50. MACKENZIE COCHRAN (22:18.30) and MARY PICHETTE (23:10.60) placed 15th and 20th, respectfully.
Montclair also saw top 25 performances from SOFIA MELO PATERNINA (23:15.60), BRIANNA RODDY (23:24.10), and ALISSA TAYLOR (23:40.40).

INSIDE THE RESULTS

Churchill notched her second consecutive first place finish to begin the campaign. Snyder earned her second top three finish in as many races.
Montclair collected 29 points as a team to clinch the event, notching four in the top ten.
