Pitman, NJ- Announced on Monday afternoon by the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) office, Montclair State University men's basketball freshman CRISTIAN NICHOLSON earned his fifth NJAC Rookie of the Week award this season for his stellar performances between January 12- 18.
 
Nicholson had another impressive week for Montclair State. He averaged 17.5 points and shot .625 from the floor, including a perfect 6-for-6 from three. He also averaged five rebounds and tallied a total of eight assists and two steals. His highlight performance was on Saturday against Kean, where he shot 6-for-8 and 5-for-5 from deep to total 18 points. He also saw six assists, three rebounds, and two steals.
 
Nicholson tied Charles Miller (2006-07) and James Williams (2007-08) for the third most Rookie of the Week awards dished out by the NJAC in a season. The only two Red Hawks with more are Myles Mitchell-White (2017-18) with 10 and Antwan Dozier (2002-03) with seven.
 
Montclair State continues its undefeated season into the final stretch of the season, starting with a trip to face Rowan on Wednesday, January 21. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
