CRISTIAN NICHOLSON earned NJAC Players of the Week for their performances between the week of December 29 and January 4.
Goss was stellar for Montclair State during a 2-0 week. Kabrien led the way, averaging 24.0 points (.556 FG% & .550 3P%), six assists, and three rebounds on the week. He also tallied three steals. His highlight performance came on New Year's Eve during a 92-87 win against Saint Joseph (Conn.), when he led the way with a career-high 28 points to go along with six assists, three rebounds, and two steals.
Nicholson had a career week that was also crucial to the 2-0 week for Montclair. The freshman guard averaged 22.0 points (.600 FG% & .714 3P%), 6.5 assists, and 2.5 rebounds to go along with five steals. His highlight performance came on Saturday in a 100-89 win against Albertus Magnus, where he posted a career-high 27 points, including going 4-for-5 from deep, and tallied five assists, three steals, and two rebounds.
Goss earns his first weekly award of the season and his first Player of the Week accolade in his career after earning NJAC Rookie of the Week once last season. Nicholson has built an impressive streak, winning his third-straight NJAC Rookie of the Week award and the fourth in five weeks.
Montclair looks to continue its undefeated season when it returns to NJAC play on Wednesday, January 4, for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off at New Jersey City.
